Needed more work then what I saw but got it for 150 bucks. Today I got the hole in the roof patched. Being this camper is abs plastic I wonder how the repair method I used would work on our scoots. Here is the method that they have used on the campers for 40 years Fill a mason jar half full with chunks of abs plastic (best to use bits from a donor I used bits from a camper hit by a tree fall on a scoot you could use a panel too bad to repair) Then cover the abs with mek or mek substitute (this will melt the abs you want it to look like latex paint) this should sit over night or longer flip and shake every now and then you now have labs
Now you need some small artist natural bristle brushes with wood handles
Put some more mek in another jar Clean the Crack or busted parts Brush on some mek to start to soften the parts Once the parts start to soften brush with labs Take your time many light coats you may even have to go back and brush it with just mek some more too
In the end basicly you have used the same material to melt it back together and build it back up

Any idea as to just how strong the joint will be? Do you make it thicker than the original?

Same thickness or you can build m it up some in the campers when done right it's as strong as it was originally
None stress areas you do like 10 coats if it's a high stress area you do 20 30 or more coats
