Alright, this is a new/weird one, but here goes...
2 weeks ago I had my first accident on the scooter due to high powered tornado wind. Normally this bike runs to 54mph no problem, smooth acceleration, and plenty of power even up hills.
The problem lies after the crash going 40mph, the bike landed only on the cvt side (Only noticeable damage was the broken left mirror, some mild body damage - but all can be easily rectified.
Anyway, when I left the scene, it got up to 50mph no problem, when I got home and shut it down for the night, somewhere/somehow from then to the next morning, it lost all power and only goes to 20-40mph (I checked all the hoses, vacuum lines are all secure, the cvt rollers are in their proper place. Fuel filter was replaced as it had some gunk in there.
I also noticed that when I throttle WOT - It seems it it not as responsive as before, almost like it lost Horsepower. It revv's where it should be (5K-6K RPM). But speed slowly reaches 30 and doesn't push much further. When going up hill it will reduce speed roughly 10mph.
The throttle cable is working properly, it opens all the way.
I am wondering why the bike was able to get up to speed after the crash, but overnight it reduced speed.
Any help will be appreciated.
The bike is a 4T Roketa MC-23 150cc

good question and strange. Take a look at your air filter, it may have had an oil leak get to it and if it got saturated could be limiting the flow of air.

Thanks 4 your reply - I did retrace the air tube running to the airbox and low and behold found a small hole by the nipple - hopefully that is what is causing the issue of slow speed - I ordered a new one so will be looking forward to getting that.
The filter in the airbox looks excellent, and shows no sign of flooding.

As a temp fix try putting some silicone sealer where the hole is and see if it helps.

thanks - I am also trying to locate a standard CDI wiring harness that is AC fired - the pickup wire got damaged and need to replace it, but have had no luck finding it.

Sorry I don't have a suggestion.

I am still trying to find the metal clips that fit in the cdi housing, but assume that the wiring is a 16 gauge?
I am going to see if I can add to the current wire going to the pickup, or if I am gonna have to rewire all the way to the pickup.

Also the kick start is of no use and am trying to see if there is a alternative method for manual starting if the electric start won't work.
Maybe a pull cord type assembly?

Well some ATV's used a verionof the GY6 motor and they had a pull start I think, you can research that and see what you can find.

So I see one of the 3 clutch springs is loose and is engaging the wheel when it is not supposed to, would this cause loss of power and not go past 30mph?
I ordered new 1500rpm springs, not the torque yet, but am hoping this could be the issue.
Also can a impact wrench be used to remove the clutch nut that looks like its is 30mm?

You might need to replace the shooes on that clutch. You do need to replace the sprngs I am not sure if that is what is keeping you from going over 30 but if the clutch is slipping a lot it sure won't help.

I replaced the clutch springs with 1500rpm ones, didn't do the torque yet as its still in the mail, but I did get to 45mph-ish, so it did help a little. I see on the stand it spins the tire, but not half as bad as before. A new performance clutch is in the works.
I still don't have the pickup like it once had - i still have the stock 10g weights, performance variator, stock clutch, valves at. 003 & .004.
I did upgrade the prev. 108 main jet to a 115 on a stock 24mm carb - would a bigger jet cause loss of performance?
Throttle cable is snug, butterfly opens as it should, I replaced the old spark plug with a new NGK.
I am running the original air filter, I may clean it while waiting for a replacement, there are no bike shops in town, but it looks clean but there is only 1300 miles on it.
I have not done a compression test, even though the bike starts pretty good on the first try (usually).
I removed the muffler and it rattled inside, broken baffles? - is it normal for the exhaust to get hot within 45 sec of running? I'm running stock exhaust ATM. Maybe that was my loss of power issue.
Anything I may be missing for lack of performance?
Have a great Christmas.

Also can the 150cc long case fit a 835 belt? If so I'm tempted to downgrade if that might help but don't believe the current belt which is a kevlar replacement of the prev belt size is slipping.
I noticed that i have excellent vacuum, i changed only the lines vacuum with hoses from menards, even before replacing those, on the center stand and revving, it gets to 7K easy, but a few sec running WOT, it drops power at 5500 but goes right back up where it was. What could cause that?

Also is there a better fuel sensor for these bikes, the replacement has a touchy wiring causing the reading to be off. I haven't touched it since I put it on some time ago.

Fuel sensor? Are you talking about for the gas gauge? I do not know of any better ones, ypu may need to adjust the float in the tank a little.
