First you need to make sure it does not have something about to come loose under there, it could be an accident waiting to happen.
Can you post a pic of yours? One of the guys here is an ice bear dealer and he might have a model like it.

Thanks MJ Front end shaking has been an issue with the reverse trikes made by Dong Fang. Ice Bear quit selling this trike a few years ago because of issues. You need to check your tire balance, tightness of the sterring components and alignment. Jim/Owner Rapid Repair

O.K. Sorry for the sarcasm y'all. I remember when I first got my new reverse trike , I was excited and very proud of it , but , as the break in period was winding down , it became clear that this bike was not going to be around for very long and certainly not repair or maintenance free , everything from the drivetrain , exhaust ,electric , frame , cooling , front end , rear end , and yes even the wind shield was falling apart and the bike became unsafe with annoying rattles and near tragic accidents becoming part of owning one of these bikes. There was or is no one other owner that was as proud of there bike as I was and , that's why I've gotten so cynical about the Dong Fang company and any product that they put out. Every owner of these bikes know what I'm talking about. Instead of working with the disgruntled owners of their product , they give hollow promises wich they never mean to keep and wear down their costumers with endless run arounds on the phones and alot of "That's not my department" speechs " but I'll have the supervisor call you right away" crap that never happens. instead of fixing the design they come out with a new reverse trike ( more get rich and get out stuff. Buying this bike was a last chance try for me to for the first time in my life to buy a new Bike that would last a long time and would be a stable platform to ride without having to worry about my injuries getting in the way of riding again , instead , I wound up with IMO the worst blunder in my recent adult life. I would like to wish good luck to the other owners of these bikes , but in my heart and mind I know that's futile , I just hope they take them from all show rooms and lots before someone get's killed. Yes someone will get killed on one sooner than we think.IMO. God forbid. nuff said.

Just purchased (feb., 2015) a used 2012. Sunny dong fang df150TKA reverse trike. Had low speed loss of control while starting off and turning. I need more practice on that manuver. Right front tire hit power pole at something like 5-10 mph. A welded joint in the steering shaft failed after impact which completely disabled steering. I will disassemble steering column and have a quality weld put there. It appears that the weld filler metal separated cleanly from one of the two components it was supposed to hold together. I am glad I discovered this weak weld before it broke at higher speed after hitting a pothole, etc. The weld is located 2-3" below where the steering shaft extends below the non moving sleeve that is welded to the frame. I do not believe you can judge the quality of this weld by the size of it, since the problem in my case appeared to be lack of weld penetration into the base metal. I can think of no reason why it would be safer for this weld to fail upon impact of any size. You or a mechanic could possibly do a test on the strength of that weld by locking the lower end of the steering shaft and turning hard on the steering handle bar or get an experienced motorcycle mechanic and/or welder to look at it and/or test it and/or repair it. I plan to do all the disassembly/assembly and let a qualified welder do the weld repair. No apparent need to remove any plastic panels. I used a 30mm hex socket with a max. OD of about 1.630" to remove the hex nut at the top of the steering shaft and plan to use a tubular style "round spanner nut removal tool" to remove the two jam nuts under the hex nut so I can take the parts out for welding. This is not professional advice or instruction. I do not want anyone to be injured or die because of this possible weld defect. If anyone knows of other useful information concerning these reverse trikes, please post it here.

I think it has been established that the dog fang reverse trikes are a risky purchase.

I think it has been established that the dog fang reverse trikes are a risky purchase. Rebel , That statement is The total truth , Being an owner of one that has sat out in my barn for 2 years I will or would never trust anything that donfang puts out. I love bikes , but that trike has made me gunshy from riding chinese scooters all together . I wasted 5,400.00 on that bike and another gran on repairs and it's still not a safe bike to ride . I doubt if I'll ever have that type of money again to throw away on a bike and if I did I'd be very leery of anything out there . It is still setting in my barn because I just don't have the heart to sell a death trap like that to an unsuspecting buyer , and I refuse to LIE about it and tell a buyer the bike runs and drives great .Do not waste your time with this bike !!!!!!!!

You can always sell parts of it or use the parts to fix another bike worth fixing.
