I just got a 2011 taotao 50cc and it running lean as f. I get new jets and go to look at the carb before work and there are not screws what should I do. anyone have something like this happed to them or are they just caps?

You have a smog carb Are they rivits or security screws If they are security screws cut a notch in them and screw them out and replace with regular screws
If its rivits you will need to tap the carb

might easier to buy a carb with normal screws in it got 22mm carb 88 main jet already in it. Put it on runs cant give it much gas bogs done but it will spme time start going. What main jet should i use. I would like to run with out these restrictions or a cone filter

raise the needle by lowering the clip.......... got new carb different problem now does your carb have a a diaphram I bought my scooter new and have raised the needle and cleaned out the emulsion tube

I would think a new carb would not have blocked holes but it is possible something in the way of some kind of plastic got in there at the factory.
You say you have new problems with the new carb, what are they.

You say you have new problems with the new carb, what are they. well tryed to take restoration off didnt work. DidntDidnt bother with the old carb got the 2222mm called it a day it came with the 88 jet but the idle jet didnt say what one it is. Anyways would like to run cone filter did get a jet kit but only 80 throw 90. Run butter now but i think i still need a biger jet even when i get the cone filter its going to need like a 95 jet but dont know what idle jet to get and would like to throw the a9 cam in it to

So here is 2 different images of 2 different style of carb which one are we dealing with? Can you see why the other poster suggest you raise the needle???
