I can't express enough, on people being involved in accidents, because some driver did not see your scooter. It is as much your responsibility to be seen as the other drivers. Too be noticeable, what have you done? I put reflective tape on the trunk of my scooter- bright and cars will notice it. I painted my leather jacket with Scooter Riders, Moped Power, a Eagle, 60 mpg, and BEEP BEEP on the back. Front has painted speed limit sign of 55 mph, and one on each arm a smiley face. This may look ridiculous, but people do take notice and slow down. I had this helmet 5 years ago, and painted it and placed a Eagle decal on it. It was to get peoples attention that I was there. I now have a black full face helmet- it has reflective tape on it too. Some red reflective material and some white. It stands out.. This will hopefully stop a driver from making me a statistic. Be aware that larger vehicles don't always see you and you are to do all you can to make them see you.

Anything to get you noticed, but most cagers need glasses.
