She loves it and has a little over 100 miles on it. She traded in a Zuma for it- it fits her more, because she is only 5 ft tall. I got 9 more payments on it and than can buy a 50cc Kymco new. Just something to get around on when I am staying in town..

Doug,
Nice bike! The appeal of these is largely due to a "vaguely British" look... And just a little bit "Harley Sportster"... It IS vague, but it's still there... LOL! It would be fun to see just what kind of a classic "bobber" could be made from one of these. I'll bet it would be nicer, faster, and more reliable than any of the "Chinese choppers".
I haven't been on the ScooterRebels for some time. Been on ItIsTheRide, and busy wrenching on my own scoot (which REALLY went totally Chinese on me).
It's gonna be hard to keep the Missus home now that she has "another Rebel"... HeHeHe!
Ride safe,
Leo in Texas

I almost got a Rebel, but I need something that can handle interstate speed. But, it's a great around town bike, and will run forever.

Ride safe, Leo in Texas Leo, The Rebel was a copy of one of the Harleys, I do not remember the model an "F" something I think. Every little part is a scaled down version of the Harley design, except the motor, obviously it is one of the side by side twins, unless you live in one of the countries they sold the 125cc version in and it was a thumper motor.

Doug,
Yup! Now I can see it PLAINLY... Definitely "Sportster" Harley-in-miniature from the rear fender and mounts, to the seat, to the front end and gauges... It's the vertical twin that adds that Brit flavor. The tank is more like a hog "Big-Twin" but it's all there.
Yamaha should have made this design with their 250 V-twin! This Honda would be the ideal base for a custom build... Picture it with a Harley 750 KR Flat-track motor (mighty rare and expensive collector motor though) THAT is the only unit-construction flathead motor I'm aware of... or, a more available vintage Harley "45" flathead. Now THERE would be a show-stopping bobber! You'd have to mod the frame bottom to accommodate the flattie and separate tranny, but the work would be worth it for the end-product! Going from the efficient Honda engine to a WWII era flathead seems like reverse progress, but what a slick bike you'd have.
Considering just how "Harley" these look, I'm surprised I haven't seen such a conversion done already!
Wish these would have been around back in my day...
Leo

here is my 450 rebel, it is an '87, the older ones had a little more of the Harley styling. These pipes are an aftermarket set. This is also not the smaller one with a bigger motor, it has a little larger frame and very few parts interchange.
