tho impossible according to many-
my bad battery kept going down and this in turn made my starter clutch get pissed from lack of good push, and i got to change out my starter gears.
IT WAS A BAD REGULATOR that started this
my old one (regulator) had about 15,000 miles on it.
learned hard way never fart around, new battery drains too fast change the regulator out.
A well made regulator will have a heat sink to cool it from the heat the internal out put puts out.
this should be housed in heat absorbent epoxy which is normally jet black and a little more exspensive, then regular epoxy, let alone silicon that holhds heat in.
I ordered a new regulator and it was filled with almost clear VERY SOFT gooy silicon gel, that for the record insulates heat in and will help a regulator over heat and go in to early retirement
plus weaken the crap out of a battery if it is dependent on a quick recharge for a long life as most better after markek batterys are.
I GOT THE SILICON FILLED ONE FROM SCRAPPY
ONLY BUY REGULATORS FILLED WITH BLACK HI CONDUCTIVE EPOXY FILL or come summer they may die from over heating
THE GOOD ONES LOOK LIKE THIS

HI JOHN BEST WISHES FOR THE NEW YEAR
The bike came with a 123 variator and faster gear tranny and is a factory 180 cc
I don't remember the ratios, but was told by a supplier who looked at it, and said he knew the bike well, he only sold the slower gears that are standard.
my memory is fuzzy, but seems they are 16's instead of what comes stock on most bikes.
The kick start is very dependable, i have used it a zillion times waiting for new start gear work.
as well had a new starter gear put in, and the shop owner told me he had never seen such a large start gear on a GY 6, this even resulted in a too small standerd gear being sent from BMS, that was too small, cause they ASSUMED a standerd GY 6 starter gear, so we sort of had to rebuild the larger old one in there, springs Etc.
this is a long case xingyue factory mod, anyone who has one, be careful ordering parts, which is why you folks hear me scream murder so often here
