I didnt split the case it looked really clean in there after i flushed it with gas, blew with compressed air and soaked it in oil for an hour, spinning the flywheeel back and forth through the entire process to get any crude outta the bearings etc. Applying throttle once running i dont hear any strange noise to denote bearing failure or anything like that so hopefully I dont need to split the case. A friend over at hondaspree.net is going to send me a Tusk crank puller tool in a few days to split the sa50 elite cases since it is making a terrible clatter once i give it throttle so I will have teh tool if i need to split the se50 cases. May take the tool to the machine shop down the road and see if they can copy the tool for me

I've got a feeling that a machine shop would charge more than that to make one.

I swapped the stator out today for a 94 elite trying to figure out why my headlight wasnt working, I thought you had to use the 94 flywheel but it didnt work, apparently you have to use the 87 flywheel for it to be in time BUT the stator wasnt the problem so i put the 87 back on and put the shrouds on after I cleaned them up. I took the headlight cover and front panel off and sanded and painted those and fooled with the multitester on all the wires up front in between coats. It was odd that on the headlight itself all combos of wires showed resistance but the wires on the hi low switch didnt have resistance between the white and yellow so i tested the switch on the spree and all the ones there had resistance so i took the 87 elite switch apart and sanded all the contacts, the headlight works now Paint dried and reinstalled panels and made me a kewl front decal all this inbetween working on a 2004 honda rebel 250 lol Got the airbox put back on too with a temporary airfilter i made outta some cushion foam, it is too thick but tis better to run rich than lean right? Yea I really like the cricut but it sucks till you flash the firmware and download Sure Cuts Alot onto your computer then you can hook the cricut up USB and use any font you have on your computer. Then download fonts and save to the Fonts folder in the Windows folder
