The Scooter Rebels Forum has a set of rules that we expect to be followed by members and by dealers that may participate in the discussions here. These are designed to make a friendly community that scooter enthusiasts will like to be part of.
While everyone is welcome to participate there are a few rules that you must adhere to before posting.
For the most part, the "Golden Rule" will get you by and keep you out of trouble. For those that do not know what that is, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
I do not want to see insults being made, if you do not like what somebody has said, try to ignore it, unless it is breaking a rule then report it to me or another moderator. Threads that get out of control, have insults, arguments, will be deleted or modified.
Dealers, no spamming. Sure members want to know where they can get items but members get tired of dealers promoting their products in threads too. If you want an ad here PM me (admin), we can work something out, I promise. We welcome dealer participation in discussions, you have seen more than most of us do and have valuable experience to draw from. I have no problem with you posting a link in your signature line for your web page.
We welcome all scooters in this forum, if you have a Vespa, we would like you here, if you own a SunL we welcome you here, no ragging on a member because of the scooter they ride.
Nothing turns into a vicious discussion and causes bad feeling faster than discussions about religion and politics, for that reason, none of that here.
If a rule is bent, we will try to ignore it to a point, but if it is a habit we will let you know that you need to change and if you do not, we have the ability to ban a person, their email, and their ISP and will use that as a final resort.
I'm not prudish and do not mind humor or a scooter babe in a bikini posted here, but remember this is a public forum, try to act like adults, try to be tasteful, anything less will not be tolerated.

One thing I want to stress, this is to be a fun place. If you feel the need to get personal with a post, take it someplace else, I do not want to see bickering. I once learned something that was to help with getting along with other people, this comes from the Dale Carnegie "How to Win Friends and Influence People" Never Criticize, Condemn, or Complain.
