Welcome
Thanks for sharing this, if it does not pull the front wheel it should be able to be made to do so with a little tuning to the motor.
Good work!

thanks i need some feedback. i know a lot about these little scoots but not everything. but Ive been riding bikes just about all my life and i got tired of shifting gears. so i found a little Honda met its a fun little bike so when this guy gave me the sense i wanted to do something with it. the motor was bad then i found the tank scooter and did a lot of homework on many of many scooter forum. and away we go i have to say it's been a fun project now that it's in paint i see the light at the end of the tunnel

Paint looks good, I like silver.
Going 60 may be stretching it a bit on a normal 150cc Chinese motor. 50-55 is more the norm unless you pump it up a bit. Terrilee here has one that goes 67 but she is a gal and at least a hundred pounds lighter than most of us guys here.
Tune the variator/clutch before you tear into the motor to get it going faster.

thanks guys I'm loving it so far and yeah your right 50 to 55 is the normal speed for a 150 but let me ask you something the motor came off a tank DE150tk on that scooter i got up to 63mph is that maybe have to do with the speedo being off and the tank was 380lb and hyosung came in at 170 with the old 50cc on it with a higher power to Wate I'm wondering if that will raise the top speed i plan to have it back together this week as far as running so ill see what mod's i need to do then the plastic's are next

speed will ahve more to do with rpm then the power to weigth as these are all very light to begin with where you will see the diffrence is getting to that top speed unless you have done something to change the gear ratio

aha OK i see No not yet it has stock gears as of now maybe later if needed but the rev. i may put a higher rev cdi on it just to have a little more at the top end in case i need to get out of trouble on the road but then the two may go hand and hand and i thank i should keep the stock air box so i can ride in the rain too

Archman, Welcome
I think weight does matter. A lighter load will help it speed up faster and might make the motor able to spin just a little higher.
Putting a performance variator on it will give you just a little better gear ratio too.

Looking good Juggla. Might I see a pic of your motor mount?

yes you may this is before the weld and gussets just bolts to keep it all lined up sorry for any confusion the flat bar that makes up the motor mount is three pieces the factory 150cc motor mount the flat bar and the end link are all that hold the motor on that's the way tank had it on so that's what i did and the shock is mounted in the factory spot on frame and swingarm i got lucky on that as you can see the motor is off set to make it ride tru ill try to get better pic's next time

yes and no it ties into the frame as well with the gusset if it fails it will be in the factory weld. but i hung a 350 Chevy block off of it and it held it fine that's about 350 400lb so it should hold up and if not ill just try a different mount maybe a different scoot. like i stated before this is my first swap but i do have fabrication skills i know it needs to be strong to hold the power of the gy6. but you never know about hyosung maybe that has to do with them going out of business. LOL.
