They might still make them, but with the aftermarket carb, it barely is long enough. And since the only thing keeping the cable in its place at the carb was the boot that snapped over the jam nut. To make the cable work I had to put the jam nut UNDER the slide cap;(. So now theres not much to keep the cable from ummm...killing me heheh..I just need a longer cable. Sucks too, needs to be JUST longer.
I just got back BTW...WA warmed up for me and it runs a bit better when its warm. Im guessing its still running a tad lean in the colder weather. She was a sweetheart today though:)
Thanks again Jmaykr, I have one notch left. I might try that and see what I get??

The cable on my scooter is right at six feet long, you might try one for a chinese scooter, they are fairly cheap.

Actually the Aero 80 throttle cable is still available.
CABLE, THROTTLE 17910-GC8-020 $31.68
I'm using the stock cable on an OKO 24mm flat slide carb with a modifies twist grip.
Are you aware the the CT intake manifold for the DIO will bolt up to the Aero 80 block?

Thanks for the welcome Rebel. As you can see from my signature, I am an Aero guy, all three versions. I was a professional factory certified (4 different manufactures) 2 stroke mechanic (water cooled, but a 2 stroke is a 2 stroke) before I retired. I was also a National High Point Champion and record setter racing outboards. I have considerable experience with 2 strokes. I have had my 1985 Spree since 1985 and used it as my pit bike, it still starts and runs whenever it is called upon. I am also on a first name basis with the nearest Honda dealer. I haven't paid retail in over 10 years.

Glad to have another two stroke guy on board, I'm pretty stupid when it comes to them myself.
