All the issues that people have had with dropped shipped scooters is the main reason I am dragging my feet in selling them online. I don't want people upset at me or my shop for something that I can't fix because they are thousands of miles away. And I would have little direct control over what was shipped out unless I paid to have them shipped to me first.

According to the people at Superior - They do not dropship They ship from their own ware house after a PDI is done on the order being shipped.
The scooter that did show up was fully assembled but it was still in a metal shipping frame.. So I think they DID drop ship it. Which means they lie to all their customers. When I called them they claimed my order was delayed because of them having to take care of orders in front of me and doing their PDI and Assembly (for those who ordered assembly)
so if they really are drop shipping their products then they lied to me and all their customers.

Well, to be fair, I would repackage any scooter to ship out back into the original metal frame that it arrived in. While it is pretty cheap, it IS FREE and it is pretty expensive to make custom boxes to ship the scooters in. I looked at a company that ships motorcycles across the country and a wooden crate can cost up to $1000.
Of course what I WOULD do is to make sure that the customer got exactly what he ordered!

I have actually been to Superiors physical site and they DO have a warehouse full of boxes that have bike in them. My bet is their guy just saw the MC and the 250 on the box and sent it to you. If the front wheel was on it and it had a windshield attached I think it was put together by Superior, they just didn't send the right bike.

yea it arrived with front wheel and windshield attached. the only visible shipping damage was the handlebars were poking out of the box slightly. They were really to close to the edges of the box and probably had some slight damage from shipping. other then that they did a great job repacking the item. It was secured well to the shipping frame.
so aside from the whole situation going crazy right now they did do great on protecting it during shipping (even if it was the wrong item)
They just have horrible customer service and are rude on the phones. I am giving them to the end of the business day to respond either phone call or email to the dispute placed with paypal. I did not want to place the dispute but I felt like I was finally backed into a corner on the situation. I am getting no where with their customer service people. End of business day I will post video, photo's and documents to paypal for them to review so I can work out a refund.

www.bike2go.comIt's the same company as Powersportsmax except they include the shipping charges with their ad. I don't like this "We'll get back to you on shipping charges" stuff. I wouldn't recommend Scooterdepot to my worst enemy. I keep hearing fluky things about Superior. This is just one more.

Yah, Scooterdepot does not have a great reputation. That's why I said I've heard better things about Evo.

I am gonna have to order from EVO I guess. because I have not heard a word from Superior yet. its 11AM their time thats plenty of time for any organized office/business to read e-mails and realize their paypal has had a dispute filed....
I am totally dumbfounded as to why or how a company operates this way...

I am sorry this is not being a good experience for you, it just is reinforcing my paranoia about online purchases.
I would buy from Superior but I would also have driven down there on a Saturday with my trailer to buy it and pick it up, not have it go through their PDI and shipping. Oh and have it registered right there so no trip to the DMV. Or that is what my preference for the purchase would be anyway.

The PDI thing is a joke. Somebody bought a 250 from them last year and the inside of their carburetor was clogged with dried gas gook. You can buy an assembled bike right off the boat, look at the 2007 JCL 250s Green Earth sells. They come assembled. You don't think Green Earth is doing it do you? www.greenearthscooters.com/detail.cfm?id=953

Well the saga continues -- Today I find the certificate of origin in the mail and a bill of sale...
I am starting to think they truly had my order confused with another item. Having this come in the mail 1 day after the bike was dropped off (if it had been the right bike) redeems them a little bit LOL
Still does not forgive the rudeness on the phones and the massive lack of information to the customer (me)
I sent a email off again to their sales person Sandy to hopefully get all of this resolved.
She has never once replied to any of my emails so I am not sure I will get any results from it
