I have been missing an alarm on my Yamaha, and some research lead me to the TotalRuckus forum and to something called Audiovox AA930, which many there seemed happy with. I bought one and installed it and it was very easy, just bolt it up and connect the two wires. Seems of fairly good quality too, and works as expected. The system sells for about $25 on eBay.

I don't know anything about the alarm system, Audiovox used to make some decent car stereos back in the day. I have not been around that stuff for quite a while.

The AA930 model only has a siren, it does not control any lights. For that you need the AA940 model.

It didn't come with a fuse for it? If not you should probably go with what the directions say.

yes, it has a fuse on the hot line in off battery there is also a fuse on the ignition alarm wire but will not be using that as stated above,
the unit is made much better then i expected, the horn/siren is as big as my horn.
it has a separate led/beeper to announce functions, but the led does not blink in the on mode I believe. just as you turn unit on and off.
ray, the customer SVC guy was great, truly.

WELL I STARTED PUTTING THIS THING IN.
THE HORN ON IT IS BIGGER THEN MY BIKE HORN
(dam upper case) there is a wire that must only be energized when the bike is running so alarm doe not go off, this i put on the switched ignition line.
there is a blinker LED to scare the Sociopaths suicidal enough to go around stealing bikes.
this thing cost 17.00 delivered, audio vox says it the old model
the reviews said it gos off very easy, even if there is a voltage drop.
