I have seen videos that show how to remove a golden cap to get to the screw, but mine does not a golden cap. It looks like a silver cap and it is much smaller than the one I saw in the video. Do all carbs have air/fuel mixture screws? Does anybody know if the screw is under the silver cap?
It's a znen Verona 150

Here is the best pics that I could get. It doesn't show the silver cap clearly, but you can see where it is located. Attachments:

Thank you all. I was able to get that plug out and adjust the air/fuel mixture. I really do appreciate all the help and advice.

facts of note, rebles, in the near future, the older style carbs might be harder to come by. many newer carbs have adjustments that are sealed, as mentioned before, and now they are using snap off screws, so that u can no longer just take a screw driver, pop off the bowl, and swap the jets. you have to dremmel a slot in the screw left overs to unscrew them.. the epa is supposedly cracking down pretty hard on carb bikes, and in the near future, many china bikes may go FI. be on the look out, and if u live in the us, watch sneaky legislation in this area, as it is constantly snaking through, and endangering our scooter hobbies. dont mean to thread jack, just figured it was worth mentioning, given the topic

Might be nice to see FI china scoots, but I hate not being able to get what you want too.

i wonder how they will do it. i mean i imagine that someone will make, or has made a conversion kit that will be copied and retrofitted on everything, and tuning would be fairly uniform across the range, once someone cracks the code, so to speak, but im concerned that some creative types might try to reinvent the wheel back in china, and leave us with 3 or 4 different fi designs to sort out, and THEN figure out how to tune them. i like carbs, so dang simple. but fi is really the way of the future. lol i bet when im old, i'll be trying to explain a carb to my grand kids. kinda sad in a way.

I've seen several people post threads on doing a FI conversion, I have yet to see one come back and say it worked.

I've had many carbs come through (mfg 2010) that had NO screw under the cap. In 2011 they started to not even have the cap and just a blank spot that wasn't drilled.
I think you won't find a scooter manufactured after mid 2011 that has a functional A/F screw for sale in the U.S. due to the EPA. Of course any aftermarket carb will always be available as it could be labeled "for offroad use only" and get by the EPA regulations.
