Hello guys, I need some help from the resident experts on why some of the lights aren't working on the vento phantom r4i 150 I just purchased. With the scooter running, the small bulb in the left headlight will work when I turn the light switch on. Blinkers/headlights/dash lights/clock don't work. Battery has full charge, electric starter switch works, horn works, kill switch works. Any ideas/info welcome...

You just purchsed, I'm guessing it is new.
Did you order it online? Did you get it form a B&M dealer, and was it all working when you left the dealership?
If you ordered it online, the prep work you do after uncrating it should include pulling all the body panels off and inspectiung the wiring, the connections, screws or bolts that hold down grounds, and the fuses. A bad connection can cuase problems.
Other things you needed to do was to change the fluids, tighten all nuts and bolts, replace the tire valve stems.

Sorry, should have been more clear. It's not new, it's an 05 and the previous owner bought new. Has 389 miles. This whole scooter thing is new to me although years ago I did have an 82 honda urban express 50cc. I charged the battery and now the electric starter and horn work. The only lights that work are the two small clear bulbs next to each of the headlights. Can't wait to ride it but don't dare with no lights! Help!

looks like it probably has a remote start and alarm system.
does it ?
may have an 11 pole stator and 7 wire regulator rectifier.
remote + alarm is known to cause problems with the electrical system.
I don't know if it might shut down the lights ?
if it has an 11 pole stator, the wire diagram for a regular 150cc GY6 will not be accurate
11 pole stators have 3 yellow wires from stator to the Regulator rectifier (voltage regulator)
8 poles have 1 yellow wire. and the diagram Rebel directed to will be close.
good luck

Upon further investigation I could smell something burnt. The voltage regulator had a small crack and did smell burnt. Replaced that and still nothing. Checked the rear tail/brake light bulb and you could see a dark spot. Changed it and now have a tail light and brake light. Removed the headlight bulbs and sure enough they're both fried as were the front/rear blinker bulbs. Figured as long as I had every thing tore apart I'd disable the remote start/alarm system per instructions on this forum. Will have to order headlight bulbs online. Slowly making progress...

You can't find the same bulb at the local autoparts store?

I've also seen large displays at truck stops, Flying J and Loves especially.

AutoZone only had 12V 55W and guys on this forum said not to use that one. Will try Walmart and the local truck stop. Thanks.

55w is a bit of a strain on the system. Sometimes you can get a quartz-halogen bulb that will go right in the plug, they get a bit hot too though.

Didn't realize a 12v 18w headlight bulb would be so difficult to find. Went to every parts store, Walmart, TSC and even the Harley dealer. Every one has the 12v 55w bulb. Ordered 2 online and a flasher. Now it's hurry up and wait...
