Well I finally got around to painting the Honda Passport parts..1982 frame,1981 front forks and a 1983 swing arm. Now for the assembly In goes the scout 110cc engine. Its a direct fit in the Honda frame. I have heard that with a Lifan engine there is modification required. Dang, had to pull the swing arm off. The bushings were not positioned correctly. The chain was to close to the swing arm, would have made some noise. need to move at least 1/8 inch. Well in moving the bushings of course I screwed the paint up, so I stripped it back down to the bare metal and will paint it again 1st of the week. I had to paint again anyway, I forgot to paint the gas tank (senior moment). I have every thing I need except for a stock Passport seat and seat latch. I am looking. I could not find any 1982 Passport decals. I have the tank decals for 1981. I guess I will use them. I used a few parts from the scout. I used the wireing harness as it is set up for the 110cc engine and a CDI system. I also was able to get a title for the 1982 Passport.

That is looking outstanding.
I always figured that Lifan motor would drop right in, have you ever heard from somebody that actually did the switch?

I read it some where, but I don't remember where. Or was that Lifan engine in a CT-90? Oh well, don't matter, this one works.

Looks nice, too bad the seat from the Scout wouldn't fit it.

Yes, I check ebay daily. I either don't want to pay the price or they are not that good. I need the seat latch as they have been discontinued by Honda. There are some of them on ebay as well with most of them being cheap copies from Asia. I guess if I find a good stock latch, I may bite the bullet and just get a new seat.

I didn't much want to use the 1981 decals, but they are all I could find.

Thats $68.69 and still needs a cover and a seat latch. Thanks for posting it as I had not seen this one. It says for a CT70. I have been looking at the C70 postings.
Edit..I just purchased a seat latch from Ebay so a seat is just around the corner.

I took it for a spin this morning. Runs good. The master link is hitting the top tab on the swing arm. I got to bend it out a bit. I think this is a problem area on these bikes. I got to get a full length seat. That solo seat is just too short. I am setting on the back edge of it.
