I ride with no drivers license nor plates. See, I use an old plate and make up a registration sticker. That way the poo poo leave me alone. I ride a 250cc MC-13-250 Bali scooter. 4300 miles on it so far. This is the cheap way to get around the law. Attachments:

Sounds like you are living on the cusp of being caught. I don't know about where you live, but they certainly check the sticker here. making a sticker would be a little hard to do because of the reflective qualities. Our highway patrol gets paid out of the registration funds, so they want them paid.
Be careful.

Rebel, I have never broke the laws but have wanted to see how people would react to a scooterist breaking the law. Maybe it should be added as a poll. Thanks for your input.

Stuff like that is just a bad idea. I ride 50s that need no registration, but I've been pulled over for things out of my control. Bulbs blow out, exhaust springs a leak and a cop notices how loud it is on your way home, flat tire leaves you on the side of the road and a cop pulls up to check on you, accident, .... you never know. It would catch up with you eventually.

yeah back before wi passed a law that you had 48 hours to diaplay a plate (perm or temporary) i used to take advantage of the system at that time i was buying scrapers and would take 2 or 3 to make 1 to resell and scrap the others and i would drive each around for a week to see what one had less issues to rebuild then drive the rebuilt one around for a week before i would list it forsale and all of this with no plates just a filled out plate aplication
but yeah not a good idea as now places are studying things like haveing officers run plates to see if they are expired instead of sending tags out and you never know when some one who has a warrent out has a vehicle like yours

Well, we all break laws, just some are unintentional law breaking others are a bit more planned. I got pulled over one time for not having current tags on my plate, I had paid for them and they were sitting at home, I just had not remembered to put it on. Then I've been stopped for exceeding the speed limit, and a couple other thing, none of those were intentional. Some were just because the cop was a JERK! it happens.

Now I have riden about a mile to my house, when camping over night at the lake on a permit, because I seen lightning in the distance. On a Riders Permit one is not to ride at night.. A person can get a ticket for this.. I also done let my neighbor ride my 250cc scooter with no Riders Permit. That is a no no in the State of Missouri and one can loose their driving priveledge for 1 year. The reason I let my neighbor ride it, is he drives a taxi and has a drivers license. He want to test it out, in case he gets one..

So they are cracking down on you, what are they doing, trying to balance the budget by raising fee revenue? That's how they claim they don't raise taxes here.

"We're not going to raise taxes, just re-appraise the value of your house". I hear ya Rebel. Here you have to have plates on almost everything here. Small trailers and 49 and below Scooters are the only things that don't. But you can get them for those two if you want. The law pays less attention if you do. RD

Getting closer to taxation with out represantion? Step by step. We just got a new budget in California. In all the wisdom of a left leaning State, last year we passed a resolution so it did not require a 2/3 majority to pass a budget. In the past it seemed the only thing Republicans were good for was stopping budgets that kept expanding every year and we would go a month or up to three months as a state without a budget. This year we got one before the old one ran out. In our new, no new taxes budget, we have increased DMV fees across the board, and a new fee for "rural" home owners. But no new taxes, life is great ain't it? Rocket Dog for President!!!! (anybody that can make a fine wine can't be all bad)

i think with indiana they got sic of all the people ridding 150cc and up with no lic and the dui s usin them than there are the 10 to 13 year old kids riding these when the age to ride is 16. i am all for the reg and lic think keeps track of the stolen ones.
i know a few people that ride 180cc and up and just carry a 50cc mco with them. impd is stupid but comeon really it wont work for long. po po gonna figure it out soon than they are screwed.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Rebel. I think I'd rather not have the weight of the world on my shoulders. Atlas I'm not.
