all my work tools are the best money can buy porter cable ,dewalt makita etc. next best is crapsman, then if i have a job that i do only once in awhile i will get h/f and don't care if it craps out because i will throw it away.
it's not really the tool that makes the man, but if you use crappy tools you'll end up frustrated and do poor quality work and blame the tools imo.
i don't do poor quality, hence the need for good tools, i don't have any excuses my work speaks for itself imo. oh and if you are wondering i still have the tools i started with and they work lol, and used daily,
they do pay for themselves over time, it's just the cash it takes to get them in the first place. when i first started i would spend 500 a week in tools and my wife would be pissed, then she seen how much money i made with the tools and i could shop till i drop as long as there was money rollin in.

i spend the money for good tools i make my living with but what i do as a hobby i cut costs im supporting my family off 23k a year which after bills food gas insurance doesent leave much , if anything , and if i have to choose between a 70 dollar drill press and food for my wife well ..... im still using my cordless and some care

i hear ya supporting the family, when i was 20 i started mine, i hooked up with a girl who had two already, what was i thinkin? by the time i was 23 i had a total of 7 mouths to feed, things you do lol
remember if it doesn't kill ya it'll only make you stronger imo.

yup i do what i can with what i got which is no money and less time most od=f my free time away from work goes to driving an hour away and helpin out mom and dad who are in their mid 70's and very poor health takes a toll but they always helped me and cotinue to help me when i need it hell dad last month gave me his aircompressor which helps alot this week im tied up with doing a "rustification" on his 1980 caddy sedan deville with 59k original miles thats where my "quality" work goes his mother bought it new, passed it down to him with 36k aabout 12 years ago , now its got just shy of 60k and and i think he is gonna give it to me after i redo it and i wanna pass it down to my kid if i ever have one ...lol its funny a old caddy is my white trash family eirloom roflmao
