they are nice scoots the down side to kymco is the way they treat there dealers they dont have the best dealer support they slap way to many delaers in one area and more often then not they send the dealers the wrong parts we had 2 good kymoc delaers here 30 minutes apart and they both were doing fair business well they decided to slap 2 more in between the two delaerships needless to say we are now down to one kymco dealer the 2 originals droped them and one of the 2 new ones failed and the other one isnt far behind

yeah, there are 4 Kymco dealers within 35 to 40 minutes from me. The competition should bring the price down.

Beyond that the People 150 is a fabulous scooter. Paul Smith at www.scootinfool.blogspot.com has one and he has over 20,000 miles on his with no problems. All he ever has to do is routine maintenance and he's been using his in the coldest days in southern PA. He bought his in November 2008. It's about as close to Japanese quality as you can get.

That is the first one I read a scooter magazine review on. The writer was doing some kind of endurance ride and he had nothing but good things to say about it.

kymco does make some good stuff, I agree with the dealer thing. they want you to buy alot of product to start with even if there is not a market for them in the area

There's a Kawasaki dealer near here who's also a Kymco dealer. He was telling me that he loves their ATVs, he said he sold a dozen in no time but that he didn't buy any of their scooters and didn't really plan on buying any. Go figure.

When you consider the market for scooters vs ATVs and MCs, I fully understand if they want you to buy a lot of stock, having a lot of money tied up in scooters that are not moving is not considered good business. However, now that regular unleaded is getting close to $3.50/gallon all that may change.

I may visit a couple of the dealerships this week and see what they will let one go for. ;D

If I were him I'd be stocking 150 Super 8s and 125 Agilities. They're priced well, built well and fast enough to use on the roads around here. The last time gas rose he was selling 250 Ninjas as soon as the arrived.

Well that Kynco People 150 I looked at can be had for $2400 out the door. MSRP is $2750. Not the best deal but still not bad out the door. What do you think. Especially now that my Scout is completly dissembled in the garage

Well, if you have the cash to spend and want it, buy it. Otherwise I'd just get the Honda Scout put back together.

Hey, I saw your arsenal, I hope when you pulled that trigger, you didn't put a hole in the new scooter.
