nice job, thanks for sharing the photos.
do you have photos of the conversion you did? Did you have problems? any advice for others that might want to put a 260 into a smaller scooter?

Thanks, that would be great, how did it go putting the cooling system together for it, did the stock mounts work or was it a pain to adapt.

well actually anything you have put a 250/260 into that did not come with one. I'm curious as to what kind of problems may have come up with doing the transplant.

Some of them might have Rebel. I've seen Racer style Scoots with a 244cc Honda Clone in them. Didn't Workdog have one?
Carlito, a picture of where the motor mounts to the frame would be interesting. If your able to do it I would appreciate it.

yes its interesting, but this bike comes with alinhai yamaha 260 from factory and the frame mounts for the engine are the same as the 150gy6 so i have to make something there, and in the model with the normal cn 250 you cant do this swap without mods to the mounts, and i used a 2 radiator setup for buletproofing, and remember,it need the final touches to look good Attachments:

Philr54 picked up this 250cc scooter. It has the CN250 though. But he had a concern about the cooling on it. And I always wondered just how far off the GY6 mount the Linhai was nice to know it is a drop in equivalent. That means that if you want to make a 150 into a 250 it shouldn't be a PIA. Some advice on radiators would be good, where do you get them what are they off of, can you use a cars heater core, what do you use for a cooling fan, can you use the same CDI or do you need another one...... that kind of stuff.

OK,don't think that a linhai its going to perform better, the problems of overheating happens with the other engine also,i personally prefer cn vs linhai, when my bike has the linhai in the i4 and at sustained 75 mph it overheated, this bike has the radiator exposed to the frontal wind so i don't understand why do that, then i mounted another radiator down my seat, problem solved, but i think if a bike with the cn has a well exposed to wind radiator it will work good, linhai with 2 rads and no thermostat worked at half temp in the gauge but the cn raise the gauge only a little on the most hot days in fl,and have a thermostat,Maybe he could try with a r6 fan,it worked in Puerto Rico for me and gets the same watts, everybody would know your bike its water cooled because the fan moves everything loose on the floor and its more noisy, the cdi between linhai and cn Chinese are the same, the radiators top, stock Chinese, the other from a helix clone,to mount a linhai its not too difficult,i can show you other mounts that my bike has when it was very stretched welded to the frame,if you see the photo of the mount you can notice the other mount, triangular.OK WHERE ITS THE RADIATOR OF THIS SCOOTER?
