As I recall from posts on another forum, the valve spring seat is shallower on the "P" engine and causes problems with a high lift cam. The solution was to mill the spring seat approx 2mm deeper.
This is based on an old man's memory and hearsay so don't take my word on this, just thought I'd mention it.

need info on 1p57qmj camshaft upgrade performance cam for this gy6 engine... performance one preferable.. is it the same as a normal gy6 150 or is it different cause of the different cyclinder sizes between the gy6s received a a9 camshaft I got for my 1p57qmj will not work rocker arms are to short. can still use cam on my other scooter witch is a 157qmj.

any one know how I can get a a9 camshaft for 1P57qmj cant seem to find one.

Yeah the "P" series has many pats that are the same, the head can have differences but some people claim they had success with regular gy6 cams. Do you have one of the 16 inch wheel scooters? Kymco made its version of the gy6 and parts from it may fit, I used a starter clutch from a GY6 150 on a Kymco, fit lit like a glove.
A seller on EBay, Carlos, Autotech355 might be helpful.
