www.49ccscoot.com/bbk.htmlThis is one of the most often asked questions about scooters. How do I do the 50 > 72cc conversion. And even though we aren't gonna clutter the place up with stickies, this link NEEDS to be right out here in front where it can be seen, and is not lost in a myriad of other 50cc tips and tricks....this is the grass roots of hot roddin' a scooter. Thanks Vert....well done dude!

Yes Brent you did a fantastic job, I really like the part about ring gap I even learned something. I guess it goes to show how new all this stuff really is.

No problem, GTVert does such good work on tutorials he should make a living at technical writing.
You can see that a new thread has been stickied. In the future we can add a link to anything that should be stickied in that post, we will try to keep them organized and easily found there. Of course a mod will have to edit the post to do it.

very good tutorial. I will probably never get a 50 but who really knows. as it was said a 150 is pretty much identical and I have an idea in another month or so I will be ready to build a big bore 150. John

I did a 155cc big bore kit a couple days after doing my 72cc. Same deal. I didn't bother to write another tutorial because it was basically identical, just larger parts.
