I have a manual choke converstion for the gy6 150 that takes the place of the electric one. the complete housing is replaced with a new one and is operated with a push pull cable that can be mounted in the plastics. I have had them for a few years now Attachments:

How many times have I heard guys crying for a manual choke conversion, especially with a long cable? Thanks Eric, now I know how to answer the question, and where to direct folks!

most scooter folks drill a hole in the plastic just below the seat and mount the knob there so all they have to do is reach down and pull the knob

Electric chokes are convenient, until they die. I've always been a manual choke fan.
